Great Travel Moment In Europe one finds many small shops that specialize in preparing and selling specific foods. The Italians are very much gourmet shoppers and like to see what they are getting. We were roaming around an indoor food market in Florence, Italy when we came across this stall. The colors, aromas, and visual images of such a variety of meat put us in "food overload". It's hard to imagine whether any more meat could be squeezed into such a small booth. The jovial butcher didn't speak English, but with hand motions encouraged us to try samples of many of his wares. It was a pleasure to accept his friendly offer. |
