Great Travel Moment

This pink-seated gondola is shaped like a sweet heart; it beckons to please come and sit. The many pink hues of the bricks echo the pinks of the gondola seat and it just vibrates with gentle colours, like a watercolour painting, and the water is many subtle shades of green and grey, reflecting the subtle shadows that are the true essence of Venice. The feel is all very painterly, very impressionistic and moody, very still. There is a real feeling of summer heat and texture and yet a reserve, as the gondola sits waiting against the wall. I thought it looked very pretty and romantic, very sweet. The gondola is an imperial vessel, delicate and gilded. The pink seat looks like a big cupcake! This is a gentle suitor waiting patiently.
