Great Travel Moment In the spring of 2004, my husband and I were fortunate to visit London. As a side trip, we visited Stonehenge in the early morning with a private tour. I chose the tour because it allowed a very small group of us to visit the site before its official opening of the day and walk among the stones. There were only 20 of us and it was so quiet and peaceful as the morning mist was slowly being dispersed by the rising sun. I'm not a spiritual person but being there made me feel connected to the people who had built Stonehenge and who had possibly worshipped there. |
