While our vacation to Botswana in Africa began as a relatively uninformed quest to sight and photograph the "Big Five", the true journey became one of absorbing and gaining an understanding of the people, culture, traditions and history of this country and continent. But oh the animals! It is truly the survival of the fittest. With the damage done to her eye, this lioness will struggle not only in her efforts to hunt successfully but also with her place within the pride. Circle of life.
