Great Travel Moment On June 8, 2008, just 2-days shy of our 6-month dating anniversary, I proposed to my wife at the Western (Wailing) Wall in Jerusalem. She once suggested that she wanted a pear-shaped diamond for an engagement ring. It was a hot day, and she asked what I want to eat. I said fruit. "Fruit? You? Where will I get you fruit?" she asked. I told her I brought some with me and said, "would you like an apple, banana or a pear"? She looked at me funny and said, "a pear?" That's when I pulled out the ring and gave it to her. We love this picture because right after she kissed me, the honor guard came up to her and said, "Stop kissing and hugging him here, its holy land." Sara, my wife said, "but we just got engaged". The lady guard responded with a huge smile, "Oh, Mazel Tov, Mazel Tov! But STOP kissing him here." We always found that funny. |
