Great Travel Moment I studied abroad in Costa Rica this past fall (2008) and we traveled to the Guanacaste province for our fall break. After taking a bus for 6 hours, and some "illegal" (unmarked) taxis, we finally arrived at the pueblecito of Brasilito on the Pacific Coast. We found out about Playa Conchal, which is a beach made up of thousands of crushed sea shells (which of course = beautiful white beaches and CLEAR turquoise water!!). We had to ford a small river, walk across Playa Brasilito, walk through a path in the woods, and then we finally arrived at Playa Conchal. As you can see from the picture, the amazingly gorgeous sunset was most definitely well worth all of the trip! YES, the sun honestly was this gorgeous all on its own!! For this reason alone, I definitely recommend this beach to everyone I talk to! |
