Great Travel Moment While exploring the northwest corner of Trinidad, my husband and I took the road less traveled. We came across this very secluded beach. There were no signs, no real road, no parking lot and best yet, any other people. Coconut trees and broken coral pieces lined the sugar white sands. The turquoise water and white break of the surf were easy on the eyes. The cool breeze and warm sun rays caressed our skin. The only sounds were the birds, the waves and my husbands sweet words. Each time I gaze at it, I remember my husband preparing me a drink out of a fallen coconut. It makes me laugh to remember him using two rocks to gingerly split it open. Is that not love? We shared our island juice completely alone on our beach that resembles the spot marked with an X on the pirate treasure map. |
