Great Travel Moment

Heaven on earth? It exists and I have found the place! Located along Vemabanad Lake in Kerala, my heaven is the Coconut Lagoon resort. I had the opportunity to spend a weekend with some business colleagues while on an international work assignment three years ago. It was an architectural delight and self-contained paradise. I remember the spicy, traditional Keralan cuisine, simple but elegant cottages with walled, outdoor showers and toilets, traditional performers ? actors and dancers, and the healing Ayurvedic treatments. Peaceful, relaxing and tranquil are three words that come to mind. And as I sat in the pool overlooking Vemabanad Lake, I realized that this was a once in a lifetime journey, as heaven should be.
