Great Travel Moment This photogragh was taken in front of the English Consulate Building in Chicago in August 2007. This was my first trip to beautiful Chicago and the first time I had seen my daughter and her then fiance, now husband, in 14 months! They had spent a year volunteer teaching in the Andes mountains of Ecuador. Chicago was a true vacation. My son-in-law ran in a marathon. We visited all the usual sights, plus we took a magnificent architectural tour by boat. It was nice seeing Chicago with young adults. In the photo, my daughter had just been granted her Student VISA to pursue her Master's Degree at Kingston University in London. They were so happy that their interview had gone well and they were going back to England; they had met there in 2005. My son-in-law is English. In November, they will move to China to teach again. They make me so proud! |
