Great Travel Moment

My first full day in Istanbul, I took a ferry ride that looped down the European side of the Bosphorus then back along the Asian side. There was a lot of traffic along the waterway and I remember seeing this man in the smallest of boats. He seemed like an Istanbulite through and through- so used to the high volume of tourists and boats along the water. He was waiting for our big ship to pass and noticed me aiming my camera towards him. He looked right into my lens and gave a tiny little smirk. He was welcoming me to Istanbul. That was the beginning of my romance with Istanbul.
