Great Travel Moment There's nothing more awe-inspiring than the Sahara Desert. Looking around me as I journeyed on a camel's back past gigantic sand dunes, I felt disbelief. My surroundings looked more like something I'd seen in a picture book than something that could really exist. I was only brought back to reality when my fellow travelers began singing Polish folk music and their own hilarious, mish-mashed versions of American pop songs. Upon arriving at our "camp," we climbed a giant sand dune to watch the most gorgeous sunset I'd ever seen, then finished the day camping under billions of blazing stars, far from any city lights, and savoring the most amazing tajine I've ever tasted. It was an experience unlike any other, filled with sights, smells, tastes and memories I'll never forget. |
