Great Travel Moment

This is a silly photo that to me captures the whimsy and spontaneity that an exotic, overseas trip can inspire. We were enjoying a week-long March getaway to Venice, and the cooler, cloudy weather meant smaller crowds and more room to explore the city than we might otherwise have found during the busier tourist season. Our visit to the Peggy Guggenheim Museum was a standout moment, as it contrasted sharply with the the other sights (churches, palazzi and architectural treasures) that we'd visited that week. Feeling a little giddy and daring (maybe it was the Prosecco at lunch), I stepped inside an installation (sculpture?) in the courtyard for a fun photo op. Only on vacation!
