Great Travel Moment

Sometimes things catch your eye because they don't make sense. This moment was so memorable to me because of the contrast between the vibrant purple starfish and the parched gray rubble upon which they lay. It was low tide. I was in the quaint, lush port city of Nanaimo, British Columbia after having lived in the constantly under-construction New York City. There was such a stark contrast between the colors and textures; it was one of those picturesque moments showing that art imitates life.
