Great Travel Moment

These exposed shoreline tree roots appear to be gathering stones, smoothed by years of ocean waves, as though hoarding a treasure. I love the juxtaposition of wood and stone. The power of the ocean is evident in lodging the small boulders inside of a tree. I collect stones myself and am enamored by the wisdom inherent in trees. This image reminds me of myself, my love of stones, and my reverence for trees, holding the world in a soft embrace.
