Great Travel Moment Trying to clear my primary lens from sleep was the first order at hand. It was just before dawn when we awoke to experience the age old tradition of paying alms to the local monks. Our guide knew us well and assured that we were in the best locations to take our pictures. I had been taking a correspondence photography course while on our honeymoon and this particular morning I found the perfect opportunity to try some horizontal panning with a slow shutter. As I panned along the street I caught this great picture of a particular monk - head tilted walking his path home. The combination of improving my photography skills, learning about different traditions and experiencing all of this with my wife on our honeymoon are all captured in this one shot, that I will remember for a life time. |
