Great Travel Moment It was the New Year in 2008, my husband, myself and our 14 month son (and second son in utero as I was 7 months pregnant at the time) had planned a wonderful 3 week trip through Spain and Morocco. Unfortunately 2 days before this picture was taken I was hit by a taxi cab as I was crossing the street in the Madina of Marrakech. I badly sprained my ankle and was bruised and sore, but thankfully my baby was fine...standing in front of this pristine beach filled me with awe- not only for the natural beauty that seemingly is so difficult to find, but for the reflection of how lucky I am to be alive, with my family in an amazing location. This is a gorgeous 'locals' surf beach outside the town of Essaouira, Morocco. The beach was deserted save for a few camels which thrilled our son. |
