Great Travel Moment

Sometimes the best adventures can be had in your own backyard, so to speak. We took a three hour drive to the Canadian border to see if we could spot some Moose in the wild. We were just south of Jackman Maine on Route 201 when I asked my husband to stop the car. It was just before dusk and I couldn't believe how beautiful the area was. I climbed to the top of a small hill to get the best view and snapped away. Sometimes I miss the vitality of my native NY however, when I experience an unspoiled sight such as this, I am reminded of why we now happily call Maine home. We did spot that Moose by the way - a pair of them, enjoying the view.
