Great Travel Moment

We needed our visa's extended In Iran and therefore had to have additional passport photos taken. We found a photographer and could not help but notice the photograph he had taken of his daughter. I asked for permission to take a photo of the photo which he gladly permitted, taking great pride in her amazing beauty. Although Iranians are of the Shia branch of Islam, and detest the name Aisha because she was the favorite wife of Muhammad and in whose arms he died. Aisha was the 9 year old daughter of Muhammad's best friend, Abu Bakr when betrothed and it is through her power and influence, the Sunni gained leadership. I have a ten year old granddaughter and although inconceivable to me of child marriages, I do love this photograph of the pure Aryan child from which the name Iran is derived and thought the original Aisha must have been just as beautiful.
