Great Travel Moment It was nearing dusk. The light was changing rapidly as I was returning to camp. I rounded a corner and saw the river at a distance. it was quiet with the exception of the wind rustling through the trees and the buzzing of bugs. A dry heat still warmed the earth. An elephant herd entered the river from the far shore. The elephants moved in silence as if returning from a hard day at work - they crossed in a line as if following a path to a destination only known to them. So peaceful. it took my breath away. Photograph taken using a Canon EOS Digital Rebel, 300 mm lens. |
