Great Travel Moment Last minute, my friend and I decided to go to the Temple of Poseidon on the southern tip of Greece. We wanted to watch the sunset over the Mediterranean and were told that this was the spot. So we jumped onto a bus and were on our way. Soon we realized we chose the wrong bus because we were stopping frequently and the sun was getting pretty low on the horizon. By the time we arrived, it was pitch black and we guessed it was the end of the line because the driver said something to us in Greek and kicked us off. Here we were, thirty minutes from the nearest town, in the blackness of a Mediterranean night and at a deserted temple well past closing time. With only our camera's LCD screens for light, we hiked to the temple and got some shots... just a few hours late. |
