Great Travel Moment

I grew up in Southern California and had the rare opportunity to go on family vacations that we so often take for granted now. My father travelled a lot on business while my mother stayed home raising the 4 of us kids, so it was very important to watch every penny. Somewhere from my childhood, I vividly remember going to the San Diego Zoo and being welcomed by beautiful pink flamingos - they were so colorful and it was nothing like I had ever seen. Whenever asked which my favorite zoo in the world is, I've always responded San Diego. And I know it's because of these spectacular creatures. Imagine my delight when I had the opportunity to return to this memorable place 40 years later - I was so excited to be greeted again by these beautiful birds - they did not let me down.
