Great Travel Moment I like this late-afternoon photo because it depicts life as an engagement of human habits with history, in this case the water-marked concrete and stone of the past. Neither current nor past is ever perfect, but as we see, both relate to the other. Below, equally related, lies the lake, staid as it may seem. Few of the human habits escape reflection except when obscured by the muck. Still, life in all its routine is beautiful and so are habits and the vestiges of our ancestors who left concrete and stone for posterity. The world is made up of human habits and remnants of the past, all with a bit of muck, and occasionally we get to see what they look like when everything works in unison, as it appears to on this late afternoon in Udaipur. |
