Great Travel Moment

Perhaps the most recognizable symbol of Paris, we visited the Eiffel Tower first thing in the morning. This did little to assuage the record-breaking heat of that June day. My sister even took to using her map to protect her head from the sun's relentless rays. Also, despite the early hour, the lines did not seem any shorter. It did allow us time to appreciate just how tall the tower actually is and how far up we would be going when we made it to the front of the line!
