Great Travel Moment

This 'memorable moment' occurred as we circled the island of Bora Bora on Waverunnes, March14, 2009. I assumed that this adventure would provide exceptional views of this lovely island as we sailed along. Wrong! Instead of viewing the beauty of the island, I found myself hanging on for dear life, anticipating each wave. As if this wasn't challenge enough, a blinding rainstorm blew up as we carried on. Being dumped wasn't my biggest fear, as we were wearing life vests, colliding with this huge vehicle was! We stopped for refreshments (coconuts) at a small offshore island (note vehicles and Bora Bora in the background). While on this excursion, booked through the destination desk on the Mariner (Regent line), I also set a record, being the first 82 year old lady to do so. This journey was selected from the pages of Conde Nast Traveler, a 'memorable moment', indeed!
