Great Travel Moment On our recent trip to the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico we stayed at The Jungle Place, a spider monkey sanctuary. The last morning of our trip before we went to the airport we got to go in and visit with the monkeys. It was one of the most amazing experiences I've ever had. I'm a voice major for music education and when one of the monkeys, Teva, came and sat on my lap I started humming for her. She snuggled up against me and made a chirping noise that one of the owners told me meant she was very happy. The picture is of my sister and my niece. At four my niece was the youngest person they had ever let go in with the monkeys and she was extremely excited but very well behaved. This experience was the perfect end to an amazing trip. |
