Great Travel Moment

We were in Venice for just one night while on a Mediterranean cruise, and I planned to take full advantage of being in what many call the most romantic city in the world. As we wandered the quiet streets late in the evening, a vendor selling roses came by, and i bought one red rose. My honey posed under the Rialto bridge for a quick snapshot before we caught a nighttime gondola ride. She was so very content as we floated softly along in on our gondola, but I had one more surprise for her, the engagement ring I'd been carrying deep in my pocket for a week. As our ride neared its end, I got on one wobbly knee and asked her to marry me, and to the applause of a full gondola beside us, she said yes! This photo will always take me back to that special night.
