Great Travel Moment A window, no matter its size or shape, must mean so much more than just a window when it is found in the context of a cell unit at Alcatraz Prison. Its idiosyncrasy became evident to me when I tried to imagined what its view must had represented to Alcatraz's former inmates; re-discovering San Francisco's skyline among its constant fog, day after day. I cannot hesitate but to wonder, how close was the San Francisco I saw that day as a tourist thru this window, to the San Francisco, as witness by the former residents of this American National Monument. |
