Great Travel Moment Nothing was greater in India than the bonds I saw among children. These two boys, perhaps best friends since birth, stood outside their hut homes in a small desert town not far from the Pakistani border. I love the statement they make about their dedication to each other. I like their earrings and the simplicity of the building behind with the logs stuffed in the window. I want to hug the boys as a package. Now back in the States, I need only to look at this picture to be inspired. I am reminded that bonds begin early in life and, if we're lucky, stay with us through the years. I would like to return to India in thirty years to find these boys. My hope would be to find them still with their arms around each other, for friendship more than logs and the desert warm the heart. |
