Great Travel Moment

There is nothing more thrilling to me than sitting in front of lake with depths as turquoise as the Caribbean Sea and glaciers continuing to carve the mountains seen in the backdrop. It is difficult for your brain to compute what it is witnessing. Watching how the color of the glacial lake shifts with the dance of the clouds above was mesmerizing. What was especially memorable about this moment is that a kind Japanese tourist offered to not only take a picture of my boyfriend and I, but he took as many shots as was necessary to get the lighting just right. It is yet another reminder of one of the major perks of traveling--meeting new people who are seeking the exact same thing as you--a new perspective. I loved this peaceful place so much I vowed to marry the man who sat by my side.
