Great Travel Moment My photo is of Hetchy Hetchy in Yosemite California. Many people are not even aware of this extended part of the park. Yosemite gets about 3 or so million visitors a year where as Hetchy Hetchy is only in the thousands. Fewer people is probably why I love this part of Yosemite so much. You are so secluded and it is a great place for solitude and reflection. Your luck for viewing wildlife is also better because there is less disturbance from people. Its the best place to hike. The photo I captured was right after crossing Wapahma Falls. I was absolutely drenched from running across the bridge while the falls were at their highest from the snow melt this year. Once I was a little dry, I was able to dig out my camera to catch this lucky shot just as the wind picked up and carried the mist across the scene. This is my favorite place to visit and this photo was a bonus...they say it's all about timing. |
