Great Travel Moment I am drawn to the sea for all of its calm and beauty. I am always soothed and centered when I return to daily life. This trip was not planned out, as we hit the coast of California via Highway 1. We took off with only a map in hopes of a restful and yet exhilarating journey. What made this trip so special was that my cousin and I have not had much time to spend together as I moved away from Ohio over 30 years ago. This trip reconnected us in a very special way as we explored so many wonderful and magnificent views. We made our way up the coast from Santa Barbara to Santa Cruz. The quaint town of Cambria allowed us a few over night stays as we hit the Hearst Castle for a few tours. La Jolla held beautiful sunsets and Monterey gave us time to hit the docks and take in a glorious sunny day. This photo was one of many that I had taken that day. But this one makes me think of a quiet fishing village where even the seagulls are amazed at the splendor that surrounds. |
