Great Travel Moment

This photo is special to me because it was the first REAL vacation my mother was able to take me on. Growing up, we had never had much money as she was a single mother who had come here from the Philippines & really had no one to help her out. As a child I never really understood why I didn't have quite as much as other kids, but looking back now I can see how hard my mother had to work just to keep a roof over our heads & food in our mouths... thanks to her, I've never gone hungry a day in my life. But through perseverance & hard work she was able to save up enough money to take me to Hawaii. This picture still brings tears to my eyes because my mother looks so beautiful & I can remember how happy she was to finally be able to take me there, but really I was just happy to be with my mom.
