Great Travel Moment

I revisited White Sands, NM in 2004 - taking a 6-month position with the Forest Service in Truth or Consequences, NM. I specifically applied for this positon because I had attended a six week seminar in Las Cruces, NM in 1969. Not only did I get to revisit so many of the places I had been, but my two children and furture daughter-in-law flew out to visit. Part of our itinerary for their stay, included what I call New Mexico - The Loop. After they had soaked in the hot springs of Truth or Consequences, we left the next day for the Very Large Array in Socorro, traveled to the Loretto Chapel in Santa Fe, on to the UFO Museum in Roswell, down into the depths of the caverns in Carlsbad, back up to White Sands, and onward to La Posta restaurant in Las Cruces.
