Great Travel Moment Riding across the Masai Mara in Kenya in a Land Rover our guide was looking for a family of leopards that were the subject of a BBC documentary. We arrived early morning at a tree on the Mara River. Seeing the mother leopard dining on a baby zebra in the tree with one of her juvenile's we were looking for the other juvenile leopard. Our driver drove to the other side of the tree for a better view and to our surprise the other juvenile leopard was hiding in the grass. Seeing that our vehicle had him cornered the leopard started to approach us. This photo was taken when he was about 10 ft. from us. Just after I took this photo the leopard raised one paw and growled at us. Since our driver told us that their behavior was unpredictable we told our driver it was time to leave. |
