Great Travel Moment During our two-week tour of Peru this was the second time we happened upon some sort of public festival. We left our hotel one morning and went for a leisurely stroll into the main square, where we were positively gobsmacked by the crowds of people in attendance for some sort of parade recognizing local agriculture. There were hundreds of children adorned in the most colourful and creative costumes-- feathers, wheat, textiles, flowers! We hardly knew what to take pictures of first. This adorable child clearly needed a little time-out from all of the festivities, and this became our favourite photo memory of that event! |

The colors are a stark contrast to the expression on the child's face!
