Great Travel Moment For my 40th birthday we planned a spectacular two-week trip to Peru. It really was a trip of a lifetime-- the culture, the people, the food and the natural wonders of Peru were truly unforgettable. As it was a special occasion, we decided to splurge on a trip on the Orient Express "Hiram Bingham" train to Machu Picchu. We arrived at the Poroy station outside of Cusco to be greeted by traditional dancers and a live band. Once we saw the pristinely outfitted attendants smilingly offering glasses of champagne and orange juice with which to toast our departure, we knew the trip would be three and a half hours of bliss. And it was. |
