Great Travel Moment

This landscape is illuminated in a way such that trees might be mistaken for clouds. This image was the first sight I opened my tent doors to after a bit of an unsettling night. We set up camp peacefully as elephants grazed in the distance. But the unfamiliar sounds of the night, and the very likely possibility that hyenas were patrolling around did not make for a night of soundless sleep. All the better because there was so much to discover in this wilderness. This photograph represents a special moment of merging into the wild and awakening to luminous mists rolling over acacia trees like cumulous clouds
