Great Travel Moment

I was inside the earth, in a thermal cave, a natural sauna filled with steam from volcanic rock on the Big island of Hawaii. The caves were all hidden, dotted about in a meadow landscape. I was enraptured with the warmth and light inside the rock hole. At first I had my back to this small crack in the ceiling and I did not notice it for some time. When I finally turned to see it, I could not take my eyes off the light tunnel. From certain angles prisms of color emerged around the opening and rays dispersed like the sun shining through feet of water. This moment was primal, as though looking up into the universe or feeling the sensation of emerging from the womb towards distant light. I remember this moment for its insight into origins.
