Great Travel Moment

Sometimes you don't need to travel to the ends of the earth to find inspiration. I took this photo of my son on the beach at Kiawah Island, South Carolina, as the tide came in. He was 4 and had been here several times before, but now he was more aware of his surroundings. I will always remember the fun we had running around and building sand castles. But this picture always has an effect on me. I want to know what he was thinking because he seems so contemplative. Was he wondering how big the ocean was or where all the fish were? Perhaps he was just enjoying the view, as I like to do. Or maybe he was just wondering when it would be time to go in for lunch!
