Great Travel Moment

This picture was taken right after arriving ashore in the Phi Phi Islands in Thailand, following a beautiful journey across the glassy, turquoise waters from Phuket. I was traveling with two of my best friends and we were absolutely in awe of the raw beauty in this part of the world. The colors, in particular, made the landscape such a refreshing escape from our lives in the concrete jungle of NYC. These boats were tied up at the shore by local fishermen, who probably had no idea that the angle of their arrangement and the vibrant colors of their fabric sashes created such a striking image against the ivory sand and the pale blue sky.
