Great Travel Moment

While visiting Quito, Ecuador, a friend and I took a side trip to the little village of Mindo. Mindo is nestled amongst the cloud forests of Ecuador which makes it a beautiful and truly peaceful place to visit. The forests also attract hundreds of species of birds, a true bird-watchers paradise. The hotel where we stayed had colorful hammoks looking out over a bird garden, with hummingbirds of all shapes and sizes, zipping around like swarms of bees. This moment captures the essence of Mindo. Charming, relaxing, natural, beautiful.
