Great Travel Moment While visiting Seville, Spain one Spring, I attended dance classes to learn the local flamenco dance, the Sevillanas. My friend and I worked very hard and practiced every day to be able to dance with people during the annual Feria de Sevilla. When the fair came, we danced our best and had a wonderful time. We also went to a professional flamenco show, where I caught this moment. My friend and I smiled to each other as we watched professional dancers moved gracefully, and with passion, across the stage. Our dancing was nothing in comparison, of course, but we felt some connection to the professional dancers and to Spanish culture as a whole since we had attempted to learn flamenco. |
