Great Travel Moment This picture is from the first day that my family and I arrived in Rome, Italy. I still remember the drive into the city and admiring all of the buildings made of stucco and the beautiful green hills. It was so special to me since it was the first time that I had traveled to a non-English speaking country. I had been studying the early Romans in school in my Latin class, and was able to recognize many of the landmarks that we came across. This picture is of the columns at the Vatican, right after we saw Pope John Paul II canonize four Saints just feet away. The way the ?hallway? curves around, and the height of the columns would make any onlooker feel tiny compared to the massive structure. |
