Great Travel Moment Standing in the courtyard of the Mezquita, a former mosque and now a Roman Catholic cathedral in Cordoba, Spain, is an experience unlike any other. Every direction you face is a whole new lesson, revealing an incredibly fascinating history. The courtyard alone is a unique opportunity in itself, lightly shaded by palm threes. Standing in this glorious courtyard and looking up at the Bell Tower of this incredible monument on an unbelievable day, I took a deep breath, and to this day I can remember the smell of the oranges growing in the warm sunlight. |
