Great Travel Moment

Hiking along the Inca Trail in Peru was magical and ?awesome? in the truest sense of the word. The 4-day hike challenged me physically and psychologically as I pressed forward through the most enormous mountains I have ever seen. Equally as impressive were the quiet, starry nights. Making the night even more mystical was the knowledge that centuries ago, the indigenous people whose land I was visiting had looked up at these same stars, sitting on the same stones, pondering their lives just as I did during those nights. The people of Peru were extremely nice, inviting and cordial while I was there awaiting my 4-day hike to Machu Picchu. My only regret was that I couldn?t stay longer and I didn?t have the chance to see other regions of this incredibly beautiful country!
