Great Travel Moment

This is a picture of me quadding on sand dunes near al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia. This picture shows one of the really, truly fun times I had in the 4 months I was there. Saudi Arabia is such an oppressive country that most of the things I regularly do for fun are impossible to find or are straight up illegal. This picture also helps me remember that it was possible to find actually beautiful scenery there. Most of the country is barren, dry, and devoid of all forms of life -- almost like the scenes of the moon from the Apollo landings -- but here at the dunes at Half-Moon bay, there was some fairly nice scenery contrasting the ocean to the huge, always moving sand dunes.
