Great Travel Moment

Wondrous hot pockets of sizzling mud, magnificent bubble-popping sulphuric pools, and the resulting billowing ghostly aura of steam--all in non-stop high performance. And I discovered a decadent opportunity to get right in there with the action by climbing downhill into the volcanic river and its miraculous, magical mud. St. Lucians swear by its healing properties as the testimonies abound. I sighed as the therapeutic thermal water poured out of the wall of earth behind me and plunged into my grateful back. I was merging with the volcano--with the entire island. My St. Lucia Sojourn--A Spiritual Awakening. But I wasn't alone. Unexpectedly, two surprise spa guests joined me--curious chickens chattering away directly above my head. No doubt exchanging anecdotes on the strange behavior of humans. Nobody said a spiritual awakening couldn't include a sense of humor.
