Great Travel Moment After my first three days traveling throughout India, I had a cynical view of the country as a whole. While visiting Chennai and New Delhi, I experienced more pollution and poverty than I ever thought imaginable. My train ride from New Delhi to Agra further compounded my bleak view of India. The train broke down every five minutes, only starting back up each time after 15 minutes of repair work. Once the supposed two-hour train ride finally arrived in Agra nine hours later, my spirits were extremely low. However, my visit to the Taj Mahal transformed my view of India forever. The next morning, as I walked through the entrance to the Taj Mahal, I saw the most beautiful and unadulterated architectural masterpiece in the world, framed by the archway of its entrance. |
