Great Travel Moment

I visited Oaxaca, Mexico in 2005 to experience that city's incredible Day of The Dead celebrations. I woke up one morning to find that a traveling circus had come to town in a field a few blocks from where i was staying. Circuses have always been magical for me, and I decided to walk over and watch as they unloaded the wild animals in their cages and set up their tents with their colorful illustrations. I began to take a few pictures from the perimeter when the circus owner's wife noticed me, and we struck up a conversation. I explained (in my somewhat basic spanish) my love of circuses, and she invited me backstage and told me some history of her circus family. As I left her trailer, I came across this magical scene and shot this one image. It captured perfectly the wonderful experience I had just had.
