Great Travel Moment Traveling by horseback for approximately 14 miles on a steep and very rugged mountain trail through rain, ice, snow, and sleet, we finally arrived with frozen fingers and numb feet and legs from hours in the saddle to this spectacular setting at this pristine, remote lake. The next three days were spent exploring this incredible wild environment and doing some of the most amazing trout fishing I've ever experienced. Water so pure and clear that the fish were fully visible in the depths below and so vibrant that they literally "towed" the canoe across the lake once they had taken the lure! This is nature at its best, where one must abide by the whims of the weather, and be fully content to cozy up with a book by the fire or explore the great expanse by whatever means available. Truly a remarkable and unforgettable journey! |
